Latte art

I love latte art. Sure, it does nothing for the taste of the drink, but for those who truly love coffee, it’s a drnk to be savored slowly and anything that adds to that experienced us to be valued. So, I feel compelled to share a collection of 35 awesome latte art images I came across….check it out here. Unfortunately, few baristas in my small town practice this art…perhaps if enough people start noticing it will become more widespread.

Coffee cake

On a cold winter morning on a day off, there’s nothing better than drinking some freshly roasted coffee while enjoying homemade coffee cake. There’s a nice collection of five delicious-looking recipes over at this website. I haven’t had a chance to bake any yet, but look forward to trying them all.

One Coffee Cup a Day!

One-Coffee-Cup-a-Day-Day-29-French-Coffee-Cup-3DPrint-cunicode.com006-620x468.jpg

Very cool design project…a different coffee cup every day! Design agency cunicode is taking advantage of Shapeways‘ ceramic rapid prototyping process to make one new espresso cup design per day for thirty days (which point they’ve now reached). The designs are creative as the image above shows, but you should really head over to their website to see the whole array. They’re not cheap, generally around $30, but that’s largely a function of the specialized manufacturing process and unique designs.
