There’s a business I’ve seen for sale in a small Colorado town, it’s a nicely decorated coffee shop with a fantastic view. The problem is, it’s large – split level, with a lot of square footage. I’m guessing the current owners are selling due to lack of utilization. So, how does one utilize all that square footage and turn a profit? While it may seem obvious, the answer is to draw in large groups of people. An article over in this blog has some nice ideas in it and is worth reading. Key to success is actively pursuing groups, offering them discounts, and having high quality espresso drinks.
